私たちの日常は、趣味嗜好から政治的な関心に至るまで、SNSのアルゴリズムの影響を大きく受けています。そうした現代的な感覚は、以前から画題として関心を持ってきたテーマの一つです。
本作では、そのアルゴリズムを、物語『不思議の国のアリス』において主人公を導く白うさぎになぞらえるという発想から出発しました。不可解な力に導かれながら進んでいく感覚を、白うさぎならぬ黒うさぎとしてイメージ化しています。
Our daily lives are deeply influenced by social media algorithms, shaping everything from our personal tastes to our political perspectives. This contemporary condition has long been one of the themes that interests me as a subject for my work.
This piece began with the idea of likening such algorithms to the White Rabbit who guides the protagonist in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. It is a drawing that visualizes the sensation of moving forward while being led by an incomprehensible force—reimagined here not as a white rabbit, but as a black one.
